Well, it's been over a year since the last update. I stopped updating just about the same time I was set to start working on T3. I made that decision because there I was, about to work on my first big budget movie, and I just really didn't want to be writing about that on my web site. Sure, I could have written about other stuff but I know it doesn't make much sense but I just didn't want to be working on T3 and my website at the same time. It seemed sort of unprofessional. I didn't want anyone from T3 being able to look me up online and start being able to read what I was thinking.

And there's really the point. I've been thinking a lot about this site, and now that I'm working on more professional films and such do I need to worry about this? It's so weird knowing that what I write is available to anyone who wants to read it. I know I've written things that I don't want certain people to read but I can't control that. I mean I have a web page that my mom and my best friends, my casual friends, and random people read. It's hard to be open when you know so many people are going to read it. I mean obviously someone is going to describe their life differently if they know that their boss or mom can read it.

Of course I've always been aware of that and done I've always left enough of the stories out to keep everyone happy, hopefully.

But I did miss the web page. There's something really nice about the writing process, and years from now, if I decide I do want to continue writing this page then it would be fun to be able to go back and see what I was up to.

So, I guess it's time for the past year in review:

Working on T3 was amazing. I learned an incredible amount and made some great friends. Some amazing opportunities happened on set, and some really shitty things happened to. At one point I was offered a great position on the crew but because of politics it was impossible. But I really can't get into it.

After T3 I did another Roger Corman movie, Primevil. I was 2nd Unit DP/B camera operator on it. It's a crocodile movie. It was a lot of fun, but I hate being in the water and that did have to happen a lot. Here are the pictures.

After Primevil I shot a really shitty low budget movie which then had to sue the director for the get paid. I won in court but he's not making his payments on time so that sucks.

After that movie had a little time off and then started on The Polar Express.

I've worked on a bunch of movies, but I've been waiting to work on a truly great movie, and The Polar Express is it.

I don't really want to go much into the details of the movie, it's going to great. You're never seen anything like it before. I just can't wait to see it.

It was the best experience I've ever had working on a set. I'm very proud to be a part of that movie.

After The Polar Express I had a couple months of not working, which I hated. I feel pretty useless when I'm not working.

Now just a few weeks ago I started a new job. I'm shooting for National Lampoon Networks. I'm shooting The Gleib Show and Bridge the Midget. So far I've only worked on The Gleib Show.

The Gleib show is a talk show but almost half the show is sketches and hidden camera stuff, and I shoot that stuff. It's really a great, fun job. The show is extremely funny and I have a great time working on the show.

So that's it for work. The Gleib show is an on going gig that can keep me working for a long time, so that's cool.

I got a condo a few months ago. It's really nice. It's walking distance from Mann's Chinese theater which I think is pretty cool. It's fun being able to walk to a tourist trap.

Leah and I broke up a little bit ago. We're still living together for a little until she moves out. That should happen in a couple weeks.

I'm really not happy with this update. What I liked about doing the updates often was that I was able to get into enough details about most things in order to keep things interesting, hopefully.... but I don't feel like this is happening with this update.

I'm forcing myself to write and post this update even though I don't like it. Hopefully I'll get back on track and start writing more regularly.

Anyway, I guess this is a like a intro, again...letting you know what I've been up to. I'll be updating more later.
