I may try to keep a sort of log of the shoot. Who knows? I'm sure as the days get longer and longer I will get more tired and will not have the energy to write anything.

So today was the first day of shooting, "Shakedown" we got lots of shots of the stunt people driving in a car chase and shooting at each other. It's very freaky to be in a car and see two people firing machine guns at you.

The real excitement was when my camera broke. I was working C-Camera (the third camera) and it wouldn't start. I took a look at it and tried fixing it but I was unable to. I talked to the producer and we agreed that I would go home with it and try to find a place to get a new one before shooting on Sunday morning. Luckily when I brought it home I was able to fix it.

The day went very well actually. The camera dept. has enough people which makes life easier for everyone. The best thing is how I know most of these people from the last movie, so it's really like seeing a bunch of friends again. It's nice. On movie sets it's weird to have to work with new people so often, but I like that too.

Oh and the coolest thing today was that I was in a car for a shot where a windshield blew up. For whatever reasons I was the one with the button that will blow it up. The effects guy was really nervous about that. So when he's attaching the power to the system he asked me "So you're not hitting the button now, right?" 5 times. Really, he so didn't trust me, or thought I was a retard or something. So when the time came I hit the button but when I hit it the glass just shattered, it didn't blow up like it supposed to. I wanted apologize to the effects guy saying, "Sorry, it was my fault. I guess I didn't push down on the button hard enough."

Time for bed.

I just realized that I didn't include any pictures or links. Here is one of the camera sitting on my table. I'll post my set pictures later.

I should mention what just happened:

I was walking down Hollywood Blvd. (very gay) and talking to Josh C. on my cell phone and telling him the story about the windshield blowing up. The one sided conversation that the passerby's heard sounded like this, "Yeah, so I'm in the back seat of the car, I'm under the blankets and the guy is saying to me yeah, don't push the button or it will explode" it must have sounded funny.
