I had a pretty fun weekend. Saturday was my friend Matt's b-day so we went to The Brass Monkey to do Karaoke. I hang out a lot with Matt so I know his group of friends pretty well so I had a good time. He and his friends are great at Karaoke.

My friend Jo was having a party too that night, but unfortunately I wasn't able to make his as well.

Sunday night I ended up to a b-day party of the friend of the girl I met at the party a few weeks ago. It was a pool party, and I'm really not about pool parties at all. I've always hated the water, being wet, being splashed, and being cold. I didn't want to complain or anything so I got into the pool, always keeping my head about the water so I don't get too cold. It was okay for like 20 minutes. Whenever people would start splashing or something I would just move away from them. Eventually people started to notice and at one point someone looked at me and noticed that I was shivering, and she said my lips were turning purple.

I didn't want to complain at all to be the one who makes everyone leave the pool or something but once they noticed me shivering we ended up leaving the pool in a few minutes, but I think they were about done then anyway.

Then we ended up making some dinner and watching TV Carnage, I ended up bringing that because it's a pretty good party tape. I think they liked it but I think the tape I brought was actually the worst of the 4, but it's still pretty good.

My car is in the shop now getting some basic maintenance done, so I have a loner now. I've had the same mechanic for years in LA. He's a great mechanic but he gives really shitty loaner cars. Last night while I was diving home on the 101 the car started to overheat just when I was reaching my exit. I live near the Hollywood Bowl, so as soon as I exited the 101 there were loads on pedestrians on the street who got to comment on the amount of smoke coming out of my car. And since traffic was going really slow, and people were walking I would be along side people for a long time, giving them a really nice opportunity to talk to me. Telling me things like my life is too short and I shouldn't be trying to blow myself up in my car and such. My loaner car was definitely making a spectacle out of itself. I'm a bit worried about driving it back to the mechanic. It should be an adventure.

The week has been pretty slow. I still have some projects coming up but nothing right away, so I do have free time.

I think I'm going to be going union after this next movie as well.

I saw I, Robot and The Corporation this week. I, Robot was pretty dull until the very end. What made it interesting was purely the story, not the movie. The movie has way too many plot holes, some really silly action scenes, Will Smith being a horrible cop....not a great movie but a good story.

The Corporation was amazing though. I really really loved it. Better then Fahrenheit 9/11. I really did like Fahrenheit 9/11 but it was basically telling me the gist of stuff I knew already. The Corporation really is an eye opener. It starts up by talking about the personification of the Corporation in America and goes off from there. Really fascinating.
