Well I guess I should talk about AI now. Prepare for spoilers.

Martin Scorsese says it best, "AI sucks my Italian balls."

2001: A Space Odyssey was the best movie ever made, yet had it been directed by someone else it would have not nearly been as good. AI seems (quality wise) like what 2001 would have been if someone else directed it.

The 1st third was very interesting. It had an interesting premise and it asked some thought provoking questions. I looked forward to seeing how the movie would deal with them. However I thought the first third was dealt with too lightly. It felt like a light comedy. The audience seemed to like it and they laughed at the appropriate parts (although I thought it was inappropriate to put in parts that make people laugh).

However then came the last two thirds of the movie, after she drops him off in the forest. From then one it was an awful movie. It just went on too far, got too big, and strayed too far from dealing with the questions that were posed in the first third. Eventually it turned into Jurassic Park meets 2001.

But, other then AI sucking the past week was good. My parents came up and we had a good time together. My Dad got to meet Angelia. We went out to dinner a lot and saw the Vagina Monologues and just hung out. They also bought me some fans for my apartment which really help to make my place more comfortable. Unfortunately since my apartment is now comfortable I no longer sit in my underwear as I write these updates, much to the dismay of my neighbors.

They did bring Frankie up, so everyone was able to meet her.

For the 4th of July I went to Angelia's relatives for dinner. It was funny because one other family member is dating a white guy so it turned into them watching to see if I am more willing to taste all of the Vietnamese food then the other white boyfriend. I am. Some of it wasn't too good, but I made myself eat it.

Now is a good time to mention that Angelia and I make sure that her family do not know about this web page.

So not that much excitement going on. I start my next movie later this month and once that happens I'll probably be working 18 hours a day so these updates will be very scarce (like that really matters). It's just funny how everything goes on hold when I work on a film. My friends will call me up and ask me, "Where have you been for the last 3 weeks?" It's literally like I disappear.

I'm going to go watch Rififi which Martin Scorsese says is better then AI.
