The tubes are out!
I got them out about a week ago, I had it in for just under a week. The tube had a one way valve in it, and I was able to test when my lung was healed by putting the valve into water and coughing. If bubbles came out there was still a hole in my lung.
I showed up three times to the doctors office thinking I was ready to get the tube out. It really sucks to go there and find out it's not time to get the tube out, but better safe then sorry.
Polar Express went really well, it was fantastic to be working with those people again. It was a lot of the same crew so it was really nice because you already knew everyone and had your friends. It was great.
Getting the tube out was pretty amazing. The second the doctor took it out of me I felt %100. I'm so lucky that I had something that when it's over there's not even any recovery. It's like it never happened. Even the holes from the tube (and from the stitches) are really small. I don't think there will be any noticeable scar. Right now it's just a triangle of dots on my chest. I'd post a picture but I feel like I've posted enough pictures of me with my shirt off online for now. It's funny, I check the logs of this site sometimes and for some reason the pictures of me shaving my head are really popular.
So when they took the tube out my thoughts about the whole thing changed. Now when I think about it, it seems really crazy to have been walking around with a tube going inside of me. Also, when he took it out I realized how uncomfortable it really was. I guess I was pretty used to it, but when they took it out I realized that it really did suck to have that in me. It was also weird when they took it out to have a hole in my chest, that goes all the way into my chest cavity. That's freaky. It's healing really fast.
I'm really enjoying my health now. It feels really good to not have that in still. I feel so happy to be feeling perfectly healthy.
I'm shooting pickups for a Corman movie tomorrow. A bunch of insert shots and stuff. I'm really looking forward to it, I havn't shot film for a while now.
My friend Chris and his Wife just had twins. Two baby boys. Everyone is healthy. They won't know if the boys are identical or not for a few years.
I saw Kill Bill 2 last night. I ran into my friend Charles which was nice.
So really not a hole lot else going on. I've been playing Prince of Persia, Sands of Time lately...really cool game.
