Mexico Pictures:
Part 1/2
Part 2/2
Ok, well I'm back from Mexico...oh my god, what a great time. I just wish Leah could have been there.

It was me, Josh C., his girlfriend Rebecca, and her friend Staci. We headed out around 1:00PM on Friday. Stopped at Jack in the Box (the best fast food place besides In & Out) and headed to Mexico. The drive went pretty smooth, and no problems at the border.

We saw three or four blimps though on the way there. I found that pretty weird.

We stopped in Ensenada for about 2 hours to grab some food. I had the best nacho's of my life. Then we just walked around the town for a while and headed out.

When we got to Coyote Cal's they already had a campfire going.

Lloyd was there.

Lloyd is the kind of guy you can tell has done a lot of drugs his whole life. That makes him very fun to talk to. He talks really fast and rambles a lot. Sort of like he doesn't really understand the words that are coming out of his mouth, but he knows he should be talking, so he does. Last time I saw him I told him about the Sexy Android Robots that we have in LA. This time I asked him where we can go out to find some coconut bushes. He caught onto the coconut bushes after a few seconds, but not about the Sexy Android Robots.

There were two other people staying that night. Two chicks from a school in Boston. I didn't care for them much. They were nice but pretty bland.

We hung around the fire for a while and then Josh decided to open up the mini-keg that he brought. He really couldn't figure it out. It wasn't working right for him and he ended up squirting himself with beer twice. I was kind enough to watch all of it happening while I sat and laughed. I took a picture. We sat around the fire for a while just talking, drinking and hanging out. Then we all went to bed. Josh and Rebecca got the crows nest which is the top floor room where you have an ocean view and huge windows. That room is reserved for couples. I had a private room, and so did Staci. Coyote Cal's normally doesn't do private rooms but it was pretty empty.

The next day we slept late and then headed out to the beach. We just walked around the beach all day, hung out, read books, talked, and made a campfire. We waited for Sunset and then left. It was just a really nice lazy day.

That night was another night of sitting around by the fire at Coyote Cal's. Luckily some other people showed up. A guy named Steve who runs www.elsteve.com who was really cool came with his girlfriend (she's was cool to.) I really liked both of them. Steve and I unfortunately turned the campfire conversation into a computer dork conversation for a while.

The next morning we got up early (but overslept an hour) and headed out. We made the drive in really good time and got back in time for Josh's radio show, Bartalk.

I'm now the audio engineer for his show. It's not paid or anything, but if I'm not busy I'll go to the studio and help him out.

The trip ended up being a lot better then the last time.

I should mention by the way that I didn't really do any drinking in Mexico. I think I had about one and a half beers. I have finally gotten it into my head that I really don't enjoy drinking very much, and when I do it, I do it because I sort of force myself into doing it. It's not that I stopped drinking or anything but I just drink a lot less. It's just the times that I do drink I've drunk too much, and I'm going to stop doing that. I've actually been the designated driver the past few times I've gone out.

I'm shooting another feature. We are doing the test shoot this weekend, and then shooting the film after that. I'm pretty excited about it. It's a good script and if everything works I think the movie can be pretty good. No guns, no Quentin Tarantino wanna be stuff.

What I'm really happy about is that while I am shooting the feature I was offered three other film jobs. I had to turn them down of course but I'm just really happy that I have been offered that much work lately.
