Wow, everything has been going great for me for the past week. Things are just working out so well for me. It's awesome.

The feature that I worked 2 days on was very fun. It was the first time for a while that I worked on a show where we were not understaffed at all. It was wonderful. Even though the work was hard, it was easier because we had everyone and everything we needed.

The only bad thing about the shoot was that it was a feature that shot for 3 weeks and I only worked the last 2 days on it. The crew was very nice and tight with each other, but it was like being an outsider in a group of friends. I wish I would have worked on it from the beginning, I would have gotten to know everyone a lot better.

Some of the shots I did were very hard. We were doing a shot on a dolly moving on track and booming up and down with a 50mm lens. I didn't have many marks and the DP was always changing what the camera was pointing at, so I couldn't really get marks. Imagine standing next to someone taking pictures while on a moving platform, not really knowing what they are taking a picture of, and trying to keep whatever the camera may be pointing to in focus when not looking through the lens. That's what I was doing. Then they changed it to a 75mm, and then a 100mm lens. It was very hard but I think I pulled it off.

One of the days we shot at a fetish club. When I heard it was going to be a fetish club I imaged that it would be a sort of nightclub that has some whips and chains and maybe a cage or something. This was nothing like that. This was a hardcore fetish club for people who are really into it. People pay 150 an hour to get whipped, or to whip someone, and you can get it broadcasted on the internet if you want.

I got there a little early and while I was talking to my producer friend we were listening to people getting spanked and whipped in the background. There were also very pretty half naked women walking around all the time. It was pretty fun.

The next day we were shooting in a house. Everything went fine. We shot a love scene. Those are fun to work on because it's normally a closed set so it's just a few people working in the room. I prefer to work that way. It's much quieter and even though it takes longer when you need to run to get something I think overall it's better way to work. It's much easier to concentrate on what needs to be done.

Martin Landau came on set to visit a friend of his who was in the movie so it was cool to be able to talk to and hang out with him. He was really nice. He just came on set and sat around and talked to people. He's a really nice guy. He told some pretty funny stories.

I'm on the plane to Chicago now. I think I'll be able to post this update from Chicago but I'm not sure if I set everything up right to do that. I think I did, but I didn't have time to test it out.

I am bringing all of the controls for the arcade machine to Chicago. I'll be building the joystick panel there. It'll be nice to have my Dad's help with that. It should also be fun. I haven't built anything with him for a long time. I enjoy doing it.

The speakers for the arcade machine came in. They are great. They totally too powerful for the system and the bass shakes the room. That makes Mortal Kombat really fun.

A while ago I was given the book The Alchemist. I have finally started reading it. It's been sitting on my coffee table for a while now. I opened it for the first time on the airplane. It's wonderful. I'm really enjoying it.

I'm brining my PS2 to Chicago so I can play Metal Gear 2 with my brother. I think he'll really like it to.

The McDonalds at the airport has a stamp that says "McVoid." I really got close to trying to steal it, but it seemed like the chance of me getting caught was kind of high. There is so much security at the airport now that there are security guards all over and it was never able to be in line next without a security guard somewhere around me. The amount of trouble I could have gotten in was more then the fun I could have with the stamp, so I didn't try. That's how I figure out what is worth doing.

I may consider trying to get it when I fly back. I come in later in the day so it may be less busy. It's a great stamp. The "M" in McVoid is the McDonalds arch. It's really classy. I would be able to go around McVoiding everything. That would be fun.

The trailer for the feature that I'm 1sting looks like it will shoot on Thursday and Friday. So I'll be able to work at Max Ink on Wednesday. I feel like haven't been there for a long time.

Time to read more of The Alchemist.
