I went to the Orpheum again on Saturday night. They were showing B movies and serving beer so it was pretty fun. I spent about 1/4 of the time outside of the theater talking to some self proclaimed drunk gang banger named Reagan. He was pretty unlike anyone I met before.

I was dressed up like a prisoner in my orange jumpsuit, Carrie was dressed in a medieval costume. Reagan had no problem accepting that my costume was indeed a costume, but he was convinced that Carrie was a total goth chick and he kept trying to convince her to go to some lesbian bar in Long Beach that once a month plays Death Rock. He tried to talk everyone that he met into going to that bar. He assumed that everyone is a Death Rock fan.

He went on to tell me about how he used to be in gangs, how he would be an alcoholic if he drank any more beer because he was so broke (he drank 2 more after telling me that), he told me a couple times that he was not a Nazi. He was very entertaining to talk to. He intellectually (perhaps the wrong word to use for him) respects Marilyn Manson.

As I said goodbye to him he told me that he wants to hang out with me so I gave him a fake phone number. I've never done that to anyone before. It made me feel pretty slimy.

I have started a new project. It will make everything else fall to the wayside. I am going to build myself an arcade machine. I bought an old arcade machine from E-Bay and I'm going to rip out the insides and put a computer in it. I'll wire up new joysticks and buttons and try to make it look all professional and stuff. I'll have it run arcade emulation software so it'll have like 2000-3000 games in it. Then I'll start having it do Colecovision and Atari and stuff. I'll try to post a picture of it with each update as a sort of progress indicator. I really have no idea how long it will take.

I don't know if I'll make another movie before it's done. I really want to get it done so I think all my free time will go into working on this rather then making a short. But I still know a few more shorts I want to make. One of my friends came up with an awesome idea for a short that I hope we make.

Last night I went to a screening of my friend Duane's short. They showed four films and his was by far the best. After the screening everyone wanted to talk to him about it. If you want to see the trailer for his film go to http://www.outsideproductions.com/.

Carrie is over, she made dinner (which was damn good) and now we're off the watch The Talented Mr. Ripley. I love that movie.

Damn, I had a lot more to write but I am not inclined to write much now (Carrie being over and all) and I really don't remember what I wanted to say anyway.
